Size Matters
When you choose an SUV, you want a vehicle that can carry large numbers of people and have enough space for all the gear you want to bring along. The Grand Wagoneer delivers this and more. It’s impressively large, at 214.7″ long, 83.6″ wide, and 75.6″ tall. This translates into 179 cubic feet of passenger space, ample room for seven passengers to ride in style. You can increase the seating capacity to eight by replacing the second-row captain’s chairs with a bench seat.
Its carrying capacity is equally impressive. You have 27.4 cubic feet of space when all the seats are occupied. This increases to 71 cubic feet with the power-folding third-row bench seat folded down, and a total of 94.2 cubic feet when you fold the second row down.
Connectivity and Infotainment
Connectivity is essential in this digital age, and the Grand Wagoneer has all the facilities to keep you plugged in. The vehicle is awash with screens, covering more than 75″ in total. Directly in front of the driver’s seat is the digital instrument panel, with a 12″ touchscreen that houses the driver’s infotainment systems. The front passenger has their own 10.3″ screen, including backup controls for the navigation and audio systems.
USB ports are installed in each row to provide recharging and connectivity, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are preinstalled. If you choose to keep the two captain chairs in the second row, their occupants can access another 10.25″ screen. Finally, the available rear-seat entertainment package adds two 10.3″ screens for the third-row passengers.
Advanced Safety Systems
The best accident is the one that never happens, and the Grand Wagoneer has a range of safety systems that protect you. These systems use sonar, cameras, and radar to monitor the area around you for potential threats. If a collision risk is detected, you receive visual and audio warnings so you can take action and avoid the situation. Several systems will actively intervene by applying the brakes or steering you away from danger.
There are over 140 standard and available safety features that protect you and your passengers. These include the ParkSense Automated Park Assist System, the Active Lane Management System, and a 360-degree camera.
