The annual Farmer’s Fourth of July is still on at Oliver Kelley Farm! Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the front lawn while you witness rousing speeches and play 19th-century games. Families can even enjoy ice cream samples in the Learning Kitchen and make a craft project to take home! It’s a 4th of July tradition for the history books!

Happy Birthday America Parade
When: Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Where: Community Center, 1255 Fuller Street, Shakopee, MN

A long-standing Shakopee tradition, the Happy Birthday America Parade is another even that hasn’t been crossed of off the Independence Day roster. You’ll be able to March with the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department as it celebrates the birth of our nation. The event will comply with social distancing guidelines in an adapted route around the Community Center parking lot. Event staff will be keeping it festive with music, glow necklaces, candy and more. You can show your own American pride by bringing your decorated trikes, bikes and wagons.

Manitou Days
When: July 30 – August 23, 2020

For some more at-risk community members, it might be a little too soon to break the home lockdown just yet. No worries! You’ll have a second chance to celebrate Independence Day. The annual Manitou Days celebration has been postponed and is now scheduled to run July 30 – August 23, 2020. What this year’s event will entail isn’t yet entirely clear, but plans for the Grande Parade, Medallion Hunt, Community Garage Sale, the Children’s Fishing Contest, fireworks diplay and more are still underway.

How to Reset the Engine Oil Change Light on the Jeep Wrangler

Your Jeep Wrangler may come equipped with an engine oil change indicator system that helps determine when it’s time for an oil change based on mileage and a myriad of other conditions that affect the quality of the oil. When the time comes, resetting your oil light is easy, but the process may take a few tries to get the hang of. You can reset the engine oil change light on the Jeep Wrangler by following these steps.

Method 1: Resetting Oil Change Indicator

1. Without starting the engine, turn the ignition in the ON/RUN mode position.
2. In the instrument cluster display, navigate to “Vehicle Info” then “Oil Life.”
3. Push and hold the ‘OK’ button until the oil life gauge resets to 100%.

NOTE: You can navigate the Wrangler’s instrument cluster display using the arrow controls located on the left-hand side of the steering wheel.

Method 2: Resetting Oil Change Indicator

1. Without starting the engine, turn the ignition in the ON/RUN mode position.
2. Fully press the accelerator pedal three times within ten seconds.
3. Place the ignition in the OFF/LOCK position.

If the indicator message is still lit after following either method, the oil change indicator system did not reset. If this happens, carefully repeat the procedure.

It’s important to note that the engine oil change indicator system is duty cycle based. That means the engine oil change interval may fluctuate based on your personal driving habits.
